This guide explains how to enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) using the Google Authenticator<\/strong> app to improve the security of your account.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Activate 2FA on Desktop<\/h3>\n

  1. Log in to your account.<\/li>\n
  2. Go to My Profile<\/strong> > Account and Security<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  3. In the Two-Factor Authentication Setup<\/strong> section, click Setup<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  4. Open the Google Authenticator<\/strong> app on your smartphone.<\/li>\n
  5. Scan the QR code displayed on the screen.<\/li>\n
  6. A 6-digit verification code will appear in the Google Authenticator app. The code refreshes every 30 seconds.<\/li>\n
  7. Enter the 6-digit code into the Enter the six-digit code from the application<\/strong> field.<\/li>\n
  8. Click Enable<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Activate 2FA on Mobile<\/h3>\n

    1. Log in to your PEER<\/strong> account.<\/li>\n
    2. Go to My Profile<\/strong> > Account and Security<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    3. In the Two-Factor Authentication Setup<\/strong> section, tap Setup<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    4. Copy the setup key displayed below the QR code.<\/li>\n
    5. Open the Google Authenticator<\/strong> app.<\/li>\n
    6. Tap the Add (+)<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n
    7. Select Enter a setup key<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    8. Enter an account name<\/li>\n
    9. Paste the copied setup key into the Your key<\/strong> field.<\/li>\n
    10. Tap Add<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    11. Return to PEER and enter the 6-digit verification code generated by Google Authenticator.<\/li>\n
    12. Tap Enable<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n

      Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is successfully enabled. You will be prompted to enter a verification code from Google Authenticator each time you sign in to your PEER account.<\/p>\n
