This guide explains how an Administrator can reset a user’s Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).

If a user loses access to their Google Authenticator app or their smartphone, they should contact their company’s Administrator to request a 2FA reset.

Steps to Reset a User’s 2FA

  1. Log in to PEER using an Administrator account.
  2. Navigate to User Management.
  3. Locate the user whose 2FA needs to be reset.
  4. Click the three-dot (⋮) menu next to the user’s name, then select Reset 2FA.
  5. When the confirmation dialog appears, click Yes to confirm the reset.
  6. Once the reset is successful, the 2FA indicator next to the user’s name will be cleared, indicating that Two-Factor Authentication has been removed.

Next Steps for the User

After the administrator resets the user’s 2FA, the user must sign in to app again and complete the Two-Factor Authentication setup process by registering a new authenticator.

For instructions on setting up 2FA, refer to How to Activate 2FA.
